Going without two players who have been starters this season, Wisconsin still upset the Michigan State Spartans at home Saturday 64-63.
Wisconsin (13-9, 6-5 B1G) shot 58 percent in the first half while building a good-sized lead, then saw it melt away when coach Tom Izzo’s team went on a 17-to-2 run in the second half.
Nate Reuvers scored 15 points and D’Mitrik Trice added 14.
The Badgers were playing without Kobe King, who has left the team and starting guard Brad Davison, who was suspended for a game. T
he win snapped a string of eight straight losses to the Spartans.
The Badgers take on the rival Minnesota Gophers on the road Wednesday night.
