The Sheboygan Police Department has captured the individuals who were responsible for a string of garage and vehicle entries, thanks to the help of a citizen alert.
The two juvenile suspects were taken into custody last Friday evening, and the SPD says they are responsible for entering and stealing from multiple unlocked vehicles and garages in the Northeast part of the city.
A citizen reported these juveniles were just seen attempting entry to the caller’s garage and that they had been scared off.
Responding officers found the juveniles and learned that they had entered several vehicles and garages, having stolen items in their possession.
The involved juveniles have been referred to juvenile justice authorities.
The SPD used this case as a reminder to citizens to lock their homes, garages, and vehicles.
They say most entries are due to the doors being unlocked, and easy to get into.
