One week removed from attending the annual March-For-Life in Washington D.C. a local priest called it “a phenomenal experience.”
Father Jose’ Lopez is an associate pastor at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc, and he said it was “quite moving to have the youth experience not only the march, but we also went to visit a nursing home. We sang for them, we chatted with them, we sat with them, we prayed a rosary with them.”
He said they also and some students visit a food pantry to help them.
Lopez and three other priests from the Green Bay Catholic Diocese accompanied two busloads of students, including about a dozen young people from Roncalli High School, on the 18-hour trip to our nation’s capitol.
Father Jose’ tells SeehaferNews.com “it was particularly moving for him in hearing the students stories of how in some way or another, they were a product of their mother saying yes to life.”
The local priest was very impressed that the March for Life attracted an estimate of over 500,000 participants on the one mile walk Friday, January 24th.
