Madison police say a parent and two children were headed for school when a shooter targeted them Wednesday morning.
The parent and one child suffered wounds, but they are expected to recover.
No names, ages or genders have been released.
Police say they got several 9-1-1 reports when the shots were heard.
Witnesses say the victims were stopped at an intersection shortly before 7:00 A-M when the shooter got out of a second car and opened fire.
