After missing the Iowa game, Wisconsin sophomore guard Kobe King says he is leaving the Badgers basketball team.
King says after spending three years with the Badgers, he realized the program is not the right fit for him as a player and person.
Published reports have indicated Wisconsin’s top scorer in Big Ten Conference play has been frustrated with the direction of the team.
Coach Greg Gard says he is disappointed King has chosen to leave, but he respects his right to do what he feels is in his best interest.
In other Badger news, guard Brad Davison has been suspended for one game after his flagrant foul during the Iowa game.
Davison stuck Hawkeye Connor McCaffery in the groin with his arm, and a review of the tape determined the strike appeared to be intentional.
Davison will not be allowed to play when the Badgers host Michigan State Saturday.
