Local officials say opening an Amazon delivery center on Madison’s east side will mean 500 new jobs.
An engineering firm is working with the city on plans for the development of a distribution hub.
The current building in the 3600 block of Milwaukee Street will be demolished and work will start on a parking lot for 500 delivery vans and more than 200 stalls for employees soon.
Just weeks ago, plans were announced for another delivery hub in Beloit.
