A 28-year old Manitowoc man was arrested last evening for OWI on I-43, with two children as passengers who were under the age of 16.
A news release from the State Patrol indicates the motorist, identified as Dion Cook, was traveling northbound in Manitowoc County about 8:00 PM, when his vehicle was stopped for a speed and equipment violation.
The trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and standardized field sobriety tests determined the driver was impaired.
Cook was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, with two young passengers under 16.
He was also cited for speeding & driving without a license.
