Brewer’s outfielder Ryan Braun, a native of Southern California, struggled to come to terms with the death of N-B-A legend Kobe Bryant Sunday.
Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were reportedly among nine people killed when a helicopter went down in California on Sunday.
Braun called the accident and Bryant’s death “devastating,” noting the impact Bryant had on people’s lives on and off the court.
Braun also called Bryant “the fiercest competitor in any sport of all time.”
