The trial for the man accused of killing an off-duty police officer in Racine is being pushed back to March 30th.
Dalquavis Ward pleaded not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide in the June shooting death of Officer John Hetland.
Prosecutors say Hetland was shot by Ward while trying to stop an armed robbery at Teezers Bar and Grill.
His trial was scheduled for February until the state learned about a number of reports found at the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
The defense argued those reports will take time to review.
