The Green Bay Packers have decided to retrain Mike Pettine as the team’s defensive coordinator.
Just hours after the head coach was non-committal about Pettine’s status, the Packers announced Wednesday afternoon that he will be retained.
His defense was statistically better this season, but was also bullied in the N-F-C Championship game loss to San Francisco.
The Packers were ninth-best in points allowed and 11th best in defending the red zone.
