A former six-year member of the Manitowoc Board of Education and a previously announced candidate for school commissioner in April, has announced he’s no longer running for the position.
Keith Shaw said in a letter to the School Board at its’ meeting last night, “After much deliberation & prayerful consideration, I have decided to withdraw my name as a candidate for the Manitowoc Public School District Board of Education.”
Shaw continued, “My decision to withdraw as a candidate is due to personal & recent extenuating circumstances.”
According to the Wisconsin Election Commission, his name will still appear on the Spring election ballot even though he’s no longer a candidate.
Shaw tells us voters can still select from three good candidates for two openings on the School Board, April 7th.
