As the American Red Cross has announced a critical type O blood shortage and the urgent need for donors of all blood types, several blood drives are being hosted in Manitowoc County over the next two weeks.
The first is this coming Friday afternoon at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Mishicot (325 Randolph Street) between the hours of 1 and 6 pm.
Then, there are two donation opportunities in Manitowoc on Monday, February 3rd, one at Shoreline Credit Union (4400 Calumet Avenue) from 12:30 to 4:30 and, Holy Family Memorial is partnering with Versiti BloodCenter of Wisconsin for a blood drive between 2 and 7 pm in the Manitowoc Room at the HFM Medical Center (2300 Western Avenue).
Individuals must be 16 years of age or older to donate and Walk-in appointments are welcomed.
