A Mequon man tells T-S-A agents at Mitchell International Airport he didn’t know he was carrying a loaded gun when he tried to go through a security checkpoint early Tuesday morning.
The gun was in his jacket pocket and it was spotted as it passed through an X-ray machine.
The man’s name hasn’t been released and his gun was confiscated.
A typical fine for a first offense of carrying a handgun into an airport checkpoint is a little over $4,000.
