Two busloads of students and chaperones from the Green Bay Catholic Diocese left last night for Washington D.C. and the March-for-Life.
Father Jose Lopez from St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc is one of four priests attending the events surrounding the March on Friday.
Lopez tells SeehaferNews.com that the diocesan contingent includes 12 students from Roncalli High School and that all attended a Mass at 6:00 o’clock last night at St. Mary’s Church in Ledgeview before leaving for our nation’s capitol. .
The March for Life is an annual rally to peacefully protest the practice and legality of abortion held around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973.
Joining Father Lopez on the trip to D.C. are fellow priests Mark Mleziva, Adam Bradley, and Zach Weber.
They plan to return to northeast Wisconsin late Sunday.
