A 34-year-old Sheboygan man has been sentenced after being found guilty of drug and weapons charges.
Ey Lao was arrested in March of 2019 after the vehicle he was driving slid off an exit ramp for I-43, and he started acting suspicious around the responding officer.
The unnamed Brown County Sheriff’s Lieutenant conducted a search of his vehicle, and found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Lao was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
He was found guilty back in October and was sentenced last week to 15 years in federal prison.
Lao will also be required to spend 10 years on supervised release once he gets out of prison.
