A 34-year old West Bend man suffered serious injuries as the result of a snowmobile crash in Sheboygan County last night.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the 9-1-1 call came into the Emergency Communications Center shortly after 9:00 PM of a crash with injuries in a field in the Town of Sherman.
The preliminary investigation shows the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed on a snowmobile trail near State Highway 144, at the intersection of Lynn Road, when the vehicle left the trail and struck a rock wall.
The snowmobile and its’ operator became airborne for approximately 100-feet.
The male, whose name has not been released, was taken via Flight-for-Life to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries.
The Wisconsin DNR was contacted to handle the investigation.
