Two local schools have received Innovative Educator Grants from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation.
According to a news release from WPS, Manitowoc Lutheran and Two Rivers High Schools are being funded through the program, which helps 6th through 12th grade teachers provide interactive projects or initiatives in STEM subjects—science, technology, engineering and math.
The money for Lutheran High allows for electric circuit design-kits that introduce and enhance student knowledge of engineering, technology & physics principles while the grant for Two Rivers High School will help a school robotics team to design, build & program a robot to compete in a national competition.
The WPS Foundation is awarding over $24,000 this year in Innovative Educator grants to 27 northeast and north central Wisconsin teachers.
