Death of Runner From Mount Horeb Now a Homicide Investigation

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says the death of a pedestrian in the Town of Blue Mounds is now a homicide investigation.  The autopsy revealed the 26-year-old runner from Mount Horeb did not die as the result of a motor vehicle crash as first reported.  Deputies say the man was running on County Highway J-G between 12:45 and 1:15 Wednesday afternoon.  Detectives are seeking any video that might have been captured by a business or home surveillance camera.  Anyone who was in the area is asked to call the Dane County Communications Center.
