Senior goaltender Jack Berry made 27 saves Saturday as the Wisconsin men’s hockey team upset Ohio State 5-2.
That has Badger coach Tony Granato talking about a change when Michigan State visits the Kohl Center this weekend.
Berry is likely to get his first series-opening start in almost a year.
Inconsistent goaltending has hurt the Badgers for the last few years – and Berry was part of that subpar performance.
He’s much better this season, with a .908 save percentage and an average goals-against figure of three-point-0-8.
Sophomore Daniel Lebedeff has been starting the opening games of the team’s series since last season, but his save percentage is below .900.
