A Manitowoc Police Department report indicates that Barry was on probation for the manufacture and delivery of heroin and had a felony warrant out for his arrest through the State Department of Corrections. Upon entrance into the home shared by the two defendants in the 900 block of Raton Court, police found a substance believed to be heroin along with other drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Plate stated that she knew Barry used heroin and smoked marijuana with others in the basement of the home. She said she allowed this only in the basement, stating that she didn’t want him to smoke heroin in front of a child who lived there. The child has been placed in the care of a family member.
Conditions of bail include “no contact” with any known drug dealers or users-report to MPD for photos and prints upon release and maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
Plate and Barry have initial appearances scheduled for next Tuesday afternoon at 2:30.
