A clothes dryer at the Outagamie County Jail burst into flames over the weekend.
Reports indicate that the Appleton Fire Department was called to the Outagamie County Administration Building on Walnut Street at around 8:00 Saturday night.
When crews arrived, they found the basement and first floor filled with smoke, which traveling through the building via the elevator shaft.
Battling the blaze was a challenge, due to the type of building, but crews were able to successfully extinguish the fire, and keep the damage to a minimum.
The total cost of the damage was estimated to only be around $4,000.
No one was injured in the incident, and the cause was deemed to be accidental.
