Update 1/11/2020 6 pm: The snow emergency has been cancelled
From the Sheboygan Police Department: A SNOW EMERGENCY has been declared effective 4:00 pm SATURDAY, January 11. During a snow emergency there is absolutely NO PARKING on the following streets:
- Snow Emergency Routes
- Boulevards
- Cul-de-sacs
- Dead end streets
YOU CANNOT PARK ON THESE STREETS UNTIL THE SNOW EMERGENCY IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED.
For non-snow emergency routes, please follow normal winter parking rules. That means by midnight Saturday night park on the even side of the street since Sunday is January 12, an even day. During a snow emergency you can disregard signs posted, “No Parking This Side of Street” to comply with the even side parking requirement.
If you are in violation of the snow emergency rules your vehicle will be ticketed and towed. You will need to pay the snow emergency ticket at the front desk of the Police Department before your vehicle will be released. Though normally closed, we will have the front desk staffed on Sunday from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm to accommodate this. HOWEVER, retrieving your vehicle from the tow company is dependent on their normal business hours, which may not be until Monday morning.
