A missed shot with three seconds left cost the Badgers their last chance.
Micah Potter scored 13 points, had nine rebounds a pair of blocked shots.
The teams traded the lead 10 times before the half.
Wisconsin travels to Penn State Saturday for a 1:15 P-M game.
The Badgers have a record of 9-and-6, including 2-and-2 in conference play.
