The deadline to file for candidacy in the Spring Election has come and gone, with the exception of one district.
Due to the lack of filing of Notification of Non-candidacy documents with the filing officer, the deadline to collect signatures on the nomination papers for Manitowoc County Board Supervisory for District 24 has been extended by 72 hours.
All documents must now be turned into the County Clerk by 5:00 PM on Friday.
Only seven of the 25 Districts are being contested.
In District 5 Incumbent John Brunner is squaring off with Tyler Martell, while Dave Gauger will have two challengers in District 9. Kenneth Sitkiewitz and Seth Damrow are both vying for that position.
Kevin Behnke will be defending his District 12 seat against Maura Yost, while Rick L. Gerroll will face Morgan Michael Sickinger in District 21.
While the incumbent has not filed for non-candidacy in District 24, Charles L. Hagen Sr, and David Schmaling are battling for that seat.
District 25 does not have anyone running.
