A Manitowoc woman was taken into police custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend.
Police were called to the Holy Family Medical Center Emergency Room on Saturday after the victim told doctors that e was stabbed by his 19 year old girlfriend on Friday.
The victim told police that the two had gotten into an argument at around midnight, and she began to hit him.
He said he defended himself by pushing her away, before she swung the knife at him three times.
The man suffered minor injuries from the encounter, and the woman was charged with Simple Battery and Endangering Safety with a Dangerous Weapon, both with Domestic Violence Orders.
