Janesville police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man Sunday morning.
Officers responding to a “shots-fired” call found the man’s wounded body lying in the street at about 5:00 A-M.
The man’s name hasn’t been released. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, but doctors weren’t able to save him.
Police are searching for 24-year-old suspect Corvasie Weaver of Joliet, Illinois.
People at a house party say the victim and Weaver had been arguing before the shooting.
