Five high school students are ready to launch a new website aimed at getting adults to engage their elementary and middle school-aged kids involved in STEM activities. Join us on Saturday, January 4 from 11 a.m. to Noon at the Brown County STEM Innovation Center, 2019 Technology Way, for the official launch of www.4-htech.com
When: Saturday, January 4, 2020, 11:00am-12:00pm
Where: Brown County STEM Innovation Center, 2019 Technology Way, Green Bay, WI 54311
As part of the 4-H Tech Changemakers, this group seeks to meet local demand for quality, accessible and affordable STEM programming options for youth. Hands on stations for youth will include:
- Homemade Bouncy Balls
- Building Bridges
- DIY Lava Lamps
- Oobleck Experiments
This new website is already being used in ten states after it recently went live. Brown County 4-H Tech Changemaker Project Coordinator, John Levine, is happy to see people excited to use their resource to incorporate STEM into their youth groups and it continuing to grow. “I hope the challenges will help create a STEM-forward youth population that will be inspired to do STEM projects, classes and consider STEM careers.”
The 4-H Tech Changemakers program is operated by the Brown County 4-H Positive Youth Development, Extension Brown County with funding support from National 4-H Council and Microsoft.
