An Indiana man has entered a not guilty plea to charges connected to a cold-case murder from 1994.
A final pre-trial hearing in Dane County Circuit Court for 52-year-old Willie Coleman will be held February 14th.
Investigators say Coleman strangled 40-year-old Lula Cunningham on Madison’s west side, then ran over her with a car.
There were signs she had been sexually assaulted.
The Wisconsin State Crime Lab matched evidence from Cunningham’s sexual assault kit with Coleman in 2015 and he was taken into custody last November.
