The Appleton Police are looking into what happened to a 37 year old man who died shortly after being released from the hospital.
Officials were sent to the 600 block of West Verbick Street yesterday at around 2:00 AM on a report of a man suffering from a seizure.
The man reportedly was using cocaine, and was treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital.
Police were called again to the same residence at 4:45 AM, for the same reason, and this time the man did not survive.
The Police Department issued a statement, saying “there is nothing to indicate any actions of an officer were a factor in causing the death… but, because officers were involved with the subject at the time of his death we contacted an outside agency to do an independent investigation.”
The Green Bay Police will now be handling the investigation, with no other details available at this time.
