A La Crosse man is accused of holding a woman hostage inside an igloo outside Restore Public House for hours.
A criminal complaint claims the woman went to the igloos with Christopher Wisnewski on Christmas Eve. She later became upset with him and wanted to leave. He reportedly blocked the exit. According to the criminal complaint about an hour later, Wisnewski tackled the woman and choked her after she tried to push him away from the exit. After getting away, Wisnewski caught up with the victim and reportedly punched her in the face. A witness called police after the woman found herself in an enclosed porch with Wisnewski yelling at her.
Wisnewski was charged Friday with six counts relating to the case, including false imprisonment. He’s being held on 500 dollar bond.
