A 58 year old Fond du Lac man has pleaded Not Guilty to a charge of arson.
Merlin Jolin was taken into police custody earlier this month, after a fire on Allen Street.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but witnesses told authorities that they saw a man, later identified as Jolin, leaving the area not long after the fire has started.
Police located Jolin a block from the fire shortly there-after.
Jolin did admit to officers that he started the fire, but claimed he did so to warm up.
