The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to a fire in progress at the Birchwood Apartments in the 2600 block of Trojan Drive on Saturday night.
Upon arrival, smoke was seen emitting from the back side of the building, and the fire was located in the ceilings and walls of the second and third flood bathrooms.
Holes had to be cut into the roof in order to properly attack the blaze, and crews remained on the scene for over an hour to eliminate hot spots.
25 residents of the building were evacuated, and were kept warm inside a Green Bay Metro Bus.
The only reported injury was to a fire fighter, who had trouble breathing, but was taken care of and is now doing just fine.
No word on the condition of the building, or the cost of the damage.
