The Greendale High School Marching Band is on its way to the Rose Parade in Southern California. Band members, students, staff and chaperones left this morning for Pasadena.
Band director Tom Reifenberg said the parade is five-and-a-half miles long and a lot of the preparation involved building endurance to march that long. Greendale’s band was one of 20 selected to perform in the Rose Parade.
Around 40-million people will be watching the parade on national T-V New Year’s Day. The Wisconsin Badgers play the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl that afternoon.
