The Manitowoc Police Department has announced that a convicted sex offender is being released from prison, and will be residing in Manitowoc.
71 year old Philip W. Beckman will be released on or before December 31st, and will be living on Lincoln Blvd.
The MPD clarified that Beckman is NOT wanted by police at this time, and has completed his sentence as imposed by the courts.
Any harassment of Beckman will not be tolerated.
He will still have to comply with requirements of the Division of Community Corrections and Supervised Release Rules, including having no unsupervised contact with minors, and he must remain absolutely sober.
Beckman was convicted of Possession of Child Pornography.
