The Badgers record may not show it so far, but there’s a lot of talent in Madison.
Four Wisconsin men’s hockey players have qualified to play for the U-S at the World Junior Championships. That ties a record for U-W.
K’Andre Miller, Ty Emberson, Cole Caufield and Alex Turcotte will skate for the U-S. Their team will open play Thursday in the Czech Republic against Canada.
The U-S will meet Germany on Friday, Russia on Sunday and the Czech Republic Monday.
The four will miss only a New Year’s Day exhibition contest while they are gone.
