The Kewaunee County Deputy who discharged his weapon at a kidnapping suspect will not be facing any charges.
The suspect, Luis Cardona reportedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from her place of employment in Green Bay back in November, which prompted a search for the duo.
Authorities were able to find Cardona, and surround him at an ATV park in Kewaunee County.
Cardona then fired a shot at his ex-girlfriend, who was then able to escape.
Cardona reportedly then turned his gun on himself, while shots were being fired by Deputy Aaron Schley.
None of the Deputy’s shots hit Cardona, who died at his own hand.
The District Attorney declared that Deputy Schley’s actions were justified, and he will not face charges.
