A 28-year-old local man is in the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of possessing methamphetamine along with Felony Bail-Jumping after his arrest Thursday morning.
According to Manitowoc police, one of their officers assisted detectives and members of the County Metro Drug Unit in carrying out a search warrant in the 21-hundred block of Kemper Street. Forced entry was made after no response to continuous knocking at the front door of an apartment. Five subjects were located & detained while the entire apartment was secured & searched.
Meth was found on the 28-year old male and he was transported to the county jail on the drug charge. He is out on felony bail for a previous Manitowoc County case and was ordered to have no contact with the address of his arrest and maintain absolute sobriety.
Meanwhile, numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located in a bedroom used by two other subjects. Police interviewed the ‘lessee’ of the apartment & the woman told officers she believes people have been using illegal substances intravenously in her house because she’s been stuck with discarded hypodermic needles while inside her home.
Authorities say the female will have her case referred to the District Attorney’s office on a charge of being the keeper of a drug house.
