Milwaukee is on the list of cities getting a bump from the federal government to fight violent crime.
The U-S Justice Department is announcing $71 million in grant money to be split among seven cities across the country.
But the money is just part of a new effort to get tougher on crime.
Attorney General Bill Barr says in addition to the extra cash, his office is sending more federal agents to Milwaukee to help state and local police.
