A garage caught fire in Green Bay late yesterday morning, which resulted in three cats perishing.
According to a Facebook post by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, the fire in the 2200 block of Hillside Lane was called in at around 11:50 AM, and when they arrived, smoke and flames were seen coming from the attached garage.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire in about 1 hour but were unable to save the felines.
It is not known what caused the fire, nor how much damage it caused.
The GB Metro Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Green Bay Police Department, Wisconsin Public Service, the Red Cross, Green Bay Department of Public Works, and Brown County Dispatch.
