Amber Daugs has filed her nomination papers to run for a two-year term to serve as alderperson representing district five on the Manitowoc Common Council. She is joined by John Brunner who filed earlier to fill the seat to be vacated by incumbent Lee Kummer who decided not to run for re-election next spring. Would-be candidates have until 5 p.m. January 7th to file. Primaries, if necessary, would be held on February 18th and the Spring General Election is Tuesday, April 7th.
Meanwhile, City of Manitowoc residents who have moved to another address or who have not registered previously are encouraged to stop at the City Clerk’s Office at 900 Quay Street to register to vote in the February 18th Spring General Election Primary.
