Good news for motorists, gas prices have dropped slightly from last week.
While the national average has jumped up by seven tenths of a percent to $2.573, the price in Appleton fell by almost a full cent to $2.338, and dropped by a tenth of a cent in Green Bay to $2.384.
The price has jumped up a little from last year’s number however. In Appleton last year it cost $2.166 per gallon to fill up, and $2.169 in Green Bay.
The national average at this time last year was $2.378, so eastern Wisconsin continues to sit just below the national average.
The highest gas prices in the state can be found in Eau Claire which are still under the national average at $2.503.
