After a four-year drought, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks are returning to the N-C-A-A Division III football national championship game.
The Hawks beat St. John’s Saturday 35-32. They will take on North Central of Naperville, Illinois Saturday in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah, Texas.
Both teams carry 13-and-1 records, though North Central is averaging more than 53 points-a-game.
U-W Whitewater will travel more than 11-hundred miles to meet the Cardinals in Texas while the two schools are only about 100 miles apart.
