The residents of the 2100 block of Olde County Road in Kaukauna had a visitor over the weekend.
Police reports indicate that several residents reported seeing a coyote wandering through their neighborhood.
The animal was not showing any signs of aggression, but was approaching homes. Authorities believe the coyote is sick or hurt, and is just looking for some shelter.
The Kaukauna police have reached out to the DNR for assistance.
Residents are urged to stay away from the coyote, and not to feed it.
If you have any pets, be sure to check your yard for the coyote before letting them out. And if you do spot the animal, be sure to contact the police.
