Waukesha police say two officers were hurt when they fought with a shoplifting suspect Wednesday night.
Those officers were questioning a couple in a vehicle when they asked the man to step out.
They say he pushed the woman out of the car, began fighting with the officers, then put the car in reverse.
One officer was knocked down and the other was run over.
That suspect then led authorities on a high-speed chase lasting 65 miles.
He was finally arrested, but no names have been released and the extent of the officers’ injuries isn’t known.
