Waukesha officials say a Thursday afternoon explosion at the Airgas facility in the city’s industrial park was centered in a hydrogen storage area.
One employee was treated for minor injuries but didn’t require hospitalization.
Waukesha firefights quickly put out a small fire which was burning after the blast. The first report came in shortly after 1:40 P-M.
Gas was vented from damaged and leaking cylinders to head off any remaining danger.
The cause hasn’t been determined.
