A Newton man will be spending some time in state prison after he was found guilty of Conspiracy to Deliver Cocaine.
39 year old Juan A. Cortez was sentenced to four years behind bars on Monday by the Manitowoc County Circuit Court.
Investigators were able to snag Cortez after witnessing him meeting with known drug dealers.
They then conducted a traffic stop, and found large amounts of cash in his vehicle, totaling over $7,000 between two stops.
Two witnesses also told law enforcement that Cortez had given them the drug.
On top of the prison sentence, Cortez was also sentenced to 6 years of extended supervision, and counseling upon his release.
He will also have to remain absolutely sober, and maintain full-time employment.
