The Green Bay Packers have taken a step to improve their offensive line depth.
The Packers have activated offensive tackle Jared Veldheer from the commissioner’s exempt list.
To clear a space for him, reserve lineman Adam Pankey was waived. Veldheer was claimed on waivers last week.
He is expected to be the main backup for offensive tackles David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga.
Green Bay also hosted a workout earlier this week for former first-round draft pick Joshua Garrett, an interior lineman.
