Alliance Laundry Systems of Manitowoc has some real estate up for sale.
The Ripon Based “world leader” in commercial laundry system manufacturing bought a majority of the former Manitowoc Cranes site earlier this year.
Pete Wills is Executive Director of Progress Lakeshore, and he said that Alliance bought the bulk of the property because “Manitowoc Crane didn’t want to have to work with selling that in parcels.”
The property from South 30th to Viebahn street includes two other buildings plus 25 additional acres of land that Wills says contains an attractive feature for would-be suitors.
He explained that Manitowoc is one of the few places in the state that has direct train access. “That’s been a very high point of interest,” Wills told SeehaferNews.com.
Wills adds that the city of Manitowoc has been in discussion with the County to purchase additional nearby land to the south of the Alliance property for possible development.
The exact asking price or any possible buyers have not been disclosed however potential buyers could choose to purchase a portion or all of that real estate.
