A Green Bay man has been taken into police custody after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint.
Police were called to the area of University and Danz Avenues on Sunday, where they learned that Araceli Bautista had been taken by 47-year-old Celio Jaimes-Gomez.
The witness, Elias Garza-Plascencia, told officers that Celio had a knife with him, and attempted to stab Elias in the face. Officers were able to find Celio at his apartment, and confronted him with guns drawn.
Celio refused to listen to verbal commands and, according to police documents, appeared like he was going to kill Araceli.
One officer was able to flank Celio, and hit him with his pistol, and took him into custody.
Celio is now facing a litany of charges, including Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Kidnapping.
