A 24-year-old Chippewa Falls man has been handed a four-year prison sentence for a hit-and-run accident last summer.
Investigators say Byer Nevins was drunk when he failed to stop after hitting a person August 7th. Officers tracked him down and took him into custody later the same day.
He was taken to the Mayo Clinic emergency department to be cleared medically after he proved unable to stay awake while he was in custody.
